The study of History is essential in developing citizens who understand contemporary issues with a depth and wisdom drawn from the experiences of the past. Through the study of history, which integrates the humanities and the social sciences, students will better understand their own society as well as others that blend to form the United States of America. The people and their experiences are the heart of this course drawing primary sources for the bulk of our units. As we begin to understand the influences of the past, we can project how those influences may impact our nation and ourselves in the future.
